Light Opera Company
York
Light Opera Society was formed in 1953 to perform the challenging
new musicals of the time. In 2003 we became York Light Opera
Company Limited for financial reasons, although we remain
an amateur group. Throughout our history we have built an
excellent reputation for producing shows to a professional
standard; and the Company takes great pride in continuing
its tradition of bringing brand new musicals to York as well
as breathing new life into old favourites.
